Locating Funding Opportunities

Search: There are several indexes of funding opportunities:

  • The Proposal Studio maintains the COTA Funding Opportunity Database to gather relevant opportunities across arts research funding bodies. Find this spreadsheet in the COTA Resources Microsoft Team > Proposal Studio Channel.
  • The Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere maintains lists of internal and external humanities grants and fellowships available to faculty, graduate, and undergraduate students on its Humanities Funding site.
  • The UF Office of Research subscribes to the PIVOT Funding Opportunities Database, and also maintains a Funding Opportunities page in InfoReady (and internal UF system) updated every week with internal and external funding opportunities. Dimensions also provides the UF community with access to a comprehensive database covering publications, grants, patents, clinical trials, datasets, and policy documents. This platform facilitates tracking research trends, enabling users to identify potential collaborators globally and enhancing the efficiency of grant proposal development. It is recommended to link your ORCID iD to your Dimensions account for seamless integration.
  • Grants.gov is a one-stop-shop for searching for federal funding.
  • The UF International Center provides detailed support for the Faculty Fulbright Scholar Program, as well as other internal and external funding for internationally-located research.
  • The UF Smathers Libraries Grants Program has a subscription to FoundationSearch, and also provides a wealth of proposal development resources, as well as examples of past funded proposals.
