2027 Research Opportunity Seed Fund


Applications due to COTA by November 2, 2026 for down selection.

The ROSF’s mission is to promote pathbreaking interdisciplinary research and new collaborations between scholars. UF Research provides up to $100,000 over two years for new research projects that are likely to attract additional extramural funding.  

Potential proposals must meet each of the five following criteria:

High Impact

Eligibility
Any UF faculty member who is eligible to submit a proposal to an external funding agency can apply as a PI to the ROSF. Please review the FAQ for detailed eligibility guidelines.

Assists with funding searches, proposal development, finding partners, and navigating administrative and compliance processes. Department of Gender, Sexuality and Women’s StudiesSupports faculty research or service intervention projects that benefit LGBTQ+ communities. Center for Arts, Migration and EntrepreneurshipDedicated to supporting scholars, artists, creatives, entrepreneurs through their Maker in Residence Program, Faculty-Driven Research, Creative Production, and Community-Programming opportunities. Center for European StudiesOffers an extensive list of internal and external faculty and student funding opportunities and Title VI Library Resources to support all aspects of European Studies. Bob Graham Center for Public ServiceOffers research opportunities geared towards civic engagement, public leadership and public service, including Gulf Scholars research funding.
