graduate Student
research travel funding

COTA Graduate Student Travel Funds
- Email your school’s director (or unit director) to request research travel funds. Your email should include:
- The travel destination;
- dates of travel;
- and purpose of travel.
- Once you’ve heard back with an amount they can provide, you’ll ask the designated contact from your school or center to submit your travel funding request via the Travel dashboard on legacy.arts.ufl.edu (students do not have access). Ask your advisor if you’re not sure who to contact.
- The funding request will be received by COTA’s Associate Dean of Research & Strategic Initiatives, who will authorize a match or another amount to add to the funding offered by your school/center. You will be notified of the total amount approved.
- Once you receive that approval and know the total amount being offered by COTA, you can apply for the UF Office of Research funds on top of that (link below).
